The name Mantra Bee brings together two powerful parts of our story.
“Mantra” reflects the importance of intention; small, powerful affirmations that ground us in purpose and self-care. It’s a nod to mindfulness, healing, and the inner work that inspires outer change.
“Bee” honours both nature and the roots of our business. My very first product; the one I shared with friends and family back in 2009; was a simple, nourishing beeswax lip balm. That little balm sparked everything that followed.
Bees also symbolize community, sustainability, and the power of small actions; just like our mission. Together, Mantra Bee represents mindful living, conscious creation, and products made with love for both people and the planet.

Yes! Every balm, oil, soap, and serum is blended and poured by hand in our Brisbane studio. It’s slower, yes. But it means we can ensure quality, freshness, and that everything meets our standards before it reaches your hands (or your face).

We choose every ingredient with care — not just for what it does for your skin, but for how it’s grown and harvested. Our oils and butters are primarily sourced from trusted Australian suppliers, with many of our base oils; including our sweet almond oil and olive oil - grown right here in Australia.
When it comes to essential oils, we've partnered with a specialist international supplier who shares our deep commitment to purity and sustainability. Their oils are either certified organic, wildcrafted, or produced using organic principles; meaning no synthetic pesticides, GMOs, or harmful chemicals. Each batch undergoes GC/MS testing to ensure authenticity, traceability, and uncompromising quality.
If it doesn’t meet our standards, it doesn’t go in the bottle.

We intentionally create oil-based formulations because they are:
Naturally self-preserving (no need for synthetic preservatives)
Long-lasting and shelf-stable
Deeply nourishing, without requiring water or fillers
Water-based skincare products, like lotions and creams, require preservatives to prevent bacterial and fungal growth. Unfortunately, many mainstream brands use synthetic preservatives; including parabens, phenoxyethanol, and formaldehyde-releasing agents that have been linked to endocrine disruption and skin sensitivity, and are often found in conventional cosmetics without full transparency.
That’s not our style.
